Prepac Manufacturing was founded in 1979 by Steve Simpson, the company's CEO and President. Prepac Manufacturing is a state-of-the-art manufacturer of home furnishings and storage products with its main manufacturing factory located in the heart of the forest-rich West Coast.

The company originated as a pre-finished product manufacturer, providing custom printed and finished particleboard shelving for the building industry.

In the early 1980s, Prepac launched its first Ready to Assemble (RTA) storage products into the Home Center industry. Success rapidly followed and by 1984 the company began producing national RTA storage programs.

In 1999 due to rapid growth of our Catalog and Internet based customers Prepac launched a direct fulfillment program. This program offers efficient direct-to-home shipments right from our warehouse to the end customer's doorstep. Over the next several years Prepac introduced many new product categories and had steady growth. Prepac currently manufactures an impressive collection of Bedroom, Audio-Video, Media Storage, Entryway and Office Furniture, Utility Storage and Kitchen Cabinets.

In 2005 the company made a significant investment in a new facility which has taken production, technology, manufacturing and distribution to a new level. This investment has helped solidify Prepac's position as the leader in cost competitive, "quick-ship" RTA inventory management for its customers. As a result Prepac is now one of the largest producers of RTA in Canada, with full-service representation throughout North America.
